The Cold Steel Trail Master is part classic clip point Bowie and part outdoor field knife. This knife has the iconic look of the clip point hunting knife known as a Bowie knife with a timeless coffin shaped handle and brass dual guard. The knife is compact enough for easy carry while being robust enough for camping and hunting tasks. This version comes with an ultra tough CPM-3V high carbon alloy steel blade and Kray-Ex rubber for the handle.

Blade: Made from 5/16-inch thick, CPM-3V, the blade of the Trail Master is a classic Bowie design with a sweeping cutting edge and powerful clip point. Fully flat ground, this blade can pierce, slice, chop and slash through anything in your path while the 9.5 inch length keeps it maneuverable and easy to carry. The thick spine adds weight for heavy chopping and added durability. CPM-3V delivers an exceptionally tough blade capable of heavy use with good edge retention sacrificing corrosion resistance.

Handle: A hidden tang construction on the coffin shaped handle balances strength with comfort and is made from deeply checkered Kray-Ex for a non-slip, shock absorbing grip, optimal durability and resistance to the elements. The handle is comfortable in a variety of grips and balanced for traction and control in the hand. A large, brass double guard tops the handle and keeps fingers safe from the razor sharp edge.

Sheath: Carries via a molded polymer sheath with modular nylon belt loop.

CPM-3V: is a high carbon alloy steel that extremely tough and has enough chromium to have some corrosion resistance. However, care is required to prevent corrosion. The edge can be ground thin as it is tough enough to support a fine edge. 3V delivers the highest level of toughness while maintaining good edge retention.
