The Cold Steel Natchez Bowie is the king of Bowie knives! This iconic clip point hunting knife has the timeless coffin shaped handle, steel cross guard and tips the scales at over 1.5 pounds with over 17 inches of blade! The style of the original remains while modern materials deliver a serious performance upgrade. This version comes with ultra tough CPM-3V high carbon alloy steel for the blade and black Micarta composite for the handle.

Blade: Made from +7.5 mm thick, CPM-3V, the classic clip point Bowie is fully flat ground with a sweeping cutting edge and powerful swedge allowing the blade to pierce, slice, chop and slash through anything in your path. The thick spine adds weight for heavy chopping and added durability on the already exceptionally tough CPM-3V steel. 

Handle: A hidden tang construction on the coffin shaped handle balances strength with comfort and is made from durable, weather resistant black Micarta framed by a steel bolster and pommel. The handle is comfortable in a variety of grips and balanced for speed and control in the hand. A large, steel double guard tops the handle and keeps fingers safe from the razor sharp edge.

Sheath: Carries via a molded polymer sheath with modular nylon belt loop.

CPM-3V: A high carbon alloy steel that is extremely tough and has enough chromium to have some corrosion resistance. Care and maintain is required. High toughness translates to a stable edge that can be ground thin for enhanced performance. 3V has good edge retention, approaching VG-10 and CPM-154, with more than 3x the toughness.
